I thought it was a great neo-noir film, if a little hard to follow.

Anyone else seen it?

Lots of people have. I very much enjoyed it.

I saw him kill a man with a trident. He's probably laying low at a safehouse or with a relative somewhere.

Easily one of my favorite movies. Somewhat for nostalgia but also for it's clever re-contextualization of noir tropes.

Most of the characters were talking like a 1950's PI. Not too shabby though. "What do you know that I can't beat out of you in the basement?!"

A whole clan of buff wife beater wearing white guys.

Rian Johnson really did something special with Brick. His cousin Nathan's band did the score which was also superb. I haven't seen The Brothers Bloom yet but it's on my list.

i thought it missed the mark, and for only one reason: the way they talked. that joke got old pretty fast. otherwise, it was brilliant.

Good movie with a nice twist on the noir genre. Hewitt is a very good actor.

But the noir dialogue was the mark. If you aren't playing with the genre's tropes, you have no movie.
