http://www.zencha.net/pottery.php High price but very cool. I have the Ippuku Wan cups which are the low end of the website. Regardless, excellent quality. If you are looking to spend say $5-10 on tea cups/bowls and an OXO kettle look no further than Williams Sonoma/Sur la Table/Crate and Barrel. If you drink tea daily I HIGHLY recommend this: http://www.teamerchants.com/buy/3/62...tto/14800.aspx

That's why I hate Japanese tea. It all tastes that way. I'm sure once you develop a palate for it it's better, but why bother when Chinese tea is superior in every way. The choice between matcha and Dragonwell harvested before the rain is no choice at all.

Please PM or reply with a link to your favorite pre-rain Dragonwell tea. I am curious to try it. Of course, my opinion will be heavily biased.

It was enjoyable. Similar in taste to other Chinese green teas I have had, but I did like it better. For the price, it is certainly difficult to beat. Smooth and delicate with no bitterness whatsoever. A very pleasant aroma in the bag, too.

If anyone wants to drop a dime on some incredible tea, Tea Gschwendner still has 20% off their Shincha Kirisakura. If you know your tea it is worth the price--if not try it anyway and be impressed. It is easily my favorite Shincha and a top 3 favorite tea.

That's what I thought too. While their green and white teas certainly aren't the best, you will get the most bang for your buck with them. Also holds up well to multiple infusions if you're using a gaiwan. The second and third are my faves.

PSA: Tea Gschwendner is having an awesome sale on their Japan Shincha Kirisakura. It is normally $90 for 100 grams but is now only $45. This is one of 2 teas that I will buy from TG, it is excellent. If you have ever wondered "when is a great time to buy some tea?" now is that time! Enjoy! Reply if you order... Also, Kuradashi Gyokuro will be available soon. If you like it, try: Hibiki-an Kuradashi
