Any of you go to an actual gym?

Im getting tired of working out at home and using standard equipment. I want to go to a gym where I can get the full experience. Do any of you go to one? And around how much does it cost?

I do! My apartment complex has a well kept gym for all tenants. Nothing fancy, treadmills, benches, weights, but it does have the all important squat rack, so I love it.

$26 bucks a month for 24hr fitness, all sport level clubs or below.

That's a lot of money to pay up front for a service that probably 90% of the people who sign up will rarely, if ever, use.

I think I need to open a gym...!

I go to a crossfit gym as well. Works well for me. The workouts are generally quick but knock me on my ass at the same time.

I would go if there were a cheap-ish place that had a bunch of free weights and squat racks, a pool, maybe a rock climbing wall (I'd like to get into that). Don't care about machines and ellipticals and all that shit. Of course, without that stuff there probably wouldn't be hot chicks, in which case it's really not much better than me working out at home.

For shits and giggles last night, rather than going to the gym I decided to try two tabata intervals. Squats and burpees. The squats hurt like hell. The burpess almost friggin killed me. Crossfitters are nuts! I realized doing 100 burpees in 20 rep intervals with plenty of rest between sets is WAYYYY different than banging them out in under 4 minutes!
