Had my wisdom teeth out last Tuesday and I think I've developed dry sockets. However, I'm not experiencing this debilitating pain that everyone talks about. My jaw is still sore, and I still need a couple of ibuprofen during the day, but it's perfectly manageable. According to the Interwebz, dry sockets are not a problem unless they are painful (i.e., they will heal over time). Should I seek medical attention or just leave 'em alone, provided the pain remains manageable? Anyone have experience with this?

I have a dry socket too, but so far no infection. Just do what they told you to do, i rinse after every meal. Within a couple of weeks it should fill out and be fine. It doesn't hurt for me either but it does feel weird when i play sports, i guess because im breathing heavy. Or you can always do what this guy did:

the stuff that we stuff in the socket doesn't make the socket heal quicker. it basically takes away the pain from the dry socket while your body runs its natural course with the healing. if it's not bothering you, just make sure to rinse the socket clean with water in a syringe. salt-water rinses several times a day will help hasten the healing. good luck!
