I was thinking of one of the tube amps, like the 006t. Tubes are perfect for electrostatic headphones.

I've managed to acquire the SRA-12s, which is a combination pre-amplifier and headphone amplifier from the '70s.

I rather want this behemoth as well:

^Maybe cool in a retro way but the newer Stax amps sound better. Even better is the new HE5 from unfortunately named Head Direct.
