Cincinnati chili

As a resident of southwestern Ohio I'm obligated by state ordinances to like it, but in reality I can only stomach it (it = 4-way with beans and hot sauce) once every couple of months or so. Anybody else a fan?

It looks pretty gross to me.

Yes, Cincy chili is different to say the least. The spaghetti noodles aren't bad, but the sweetness and cinnamon flavor make the dish overwhelmingly awful.

I have family from there, and grew up eating it on visits, and recently would frequent a NYC Cincinnati night featuring Skyline and Graters ice cream in a restaurant in Tribeca. Mmmm, weird, but delicious. For what it's worth, my wife finds it disgusting.

Not a fan. I have tried it several times. . . just don't like it.

I hate/despise it more then anything else, especially because people from other states think that shit is Ohio's culinary gift to the world. YUCK! I already have a dislike for ground beef chili, but then add cinnamon, nasty.

I have had it a couple times. Every time I could feel my heart stop beating as I took another bite.

I love it... Gold Star much more than Skyline, but since I can't get either in Chicago... I usually end up feeding the cravings w/ Skyline when I see my parents. I do not, however, enjoy 3, 4, or 5-ways. I'm strictly a cheese coney or chillito guy.

Spent a lot of time working in Cinci & got to like it...don't care for everything basically cheese & onions...

There was hot dog chain here in Pittsburgh (the name eludes me) that made Skyline like chilli...wasn't half bad...they went tits up, shame...

Be seeing you!

I love the culinary joys of Ohio -- and there are many -- but the whole greek/skyline chili thing is just so incredibly wrong.

I enjoy it.

I really enjoy it as well. I made it for an office party a year or so ago. It recieved a pretty positive response.

It should not be called "chili".

In the same vein that Chicago Pizza should not be called Pizza, I agree.
