Well, to be honest, I don't quite follow your logic. Certainly, New Zealand may be more open to visible tattoos. I would disagree, except for some traditional Polynesian and Maori work, but...

No interviewer has ever seen any of my tattoos before the interview. I just don't see how - barring face, neck, and hands - tattoos are relevant to professional employment. What're they gonna do, strip-search you between the second interview and the personality tests?

I will admit, however, that wearing plugs to interviews at law firms was a bad idea. In fact, stretching my ears probably was in general, but, shit, you have to live. Most people don't realise that I had them, now.

I think text tattoo is better then graphic tattoos.

When I was younger and more strident, I thought tattoes marked the difference between people foolish enough to believe in literal minded self-pronouncements and those of us, more sophisticated, who realized that every statement necessarily implied the reverse about a person. Now, I don't care too much, and tattoos are just one more thing that can be good, bad, or, most likely, mediocre, depending on the context. If someone offered to buy me one and got me drunk, I wouldn't say no or even put much thought into it later on in life.

Your name wouldn't happen to be Gilded Butterfly by any chance?

I just wanna say I was totally shit faced when I got my tattoo at a pretty reputable parlor in Los Angeles. This was maybe 6 years ago and its just some old english stuff on my upper right arm. I regretted it for a while, but some girls Ive been with have been into it, so hey.

I dont think I'd get any more though.

She's hot, in a very conventional type of way. The MM tat reveals the trashy side that takes like 10 points off. Angelina Jolie's tats never really bothered me. But big stupid celebrity portraits are pretty big and stupid.
