Well, to be honest, I don't quite follow your logic. Certainly, New Zealand may be more open to visible tattoos. I would disagree, except for some traditional Polynesian and Maori work, but...
No interviewer has ever seen any of my tattoos before the interview. I just don't see how - barring face, neck, and hands - tattoos are relevant to professional employment. What're they gonna do, strip-search you between the second interview and the personality tests?
I will admit, however, that wearing plugs to interviews at law firms was a bad idea. In fact, stretching my ears probably was in general, but, shit, you have to live. Most people don't realise that I had them, now.
