tattoos claim another victim

at the risk of angering the tattooed among us (including our fearless leader), i just want to say i saw something very sad a few minutes ago. i was walking out of my building to get something from my car, and in walks this drop-dead beautiful gorgeous woman with the face of a supermodel. she was not only beautiful, but beautiful in a very elegant, high fashion sort of way. the second thing i noticed was she had this tattoo covering her entire right arm, from the shoulder to her hand. it was green and red and hideous. she had flawless skin otherwise. if Nature blesses you with flawless skin, the worst thing you can do is cover it with a tattoo.

i've always found tattoos very distasteful but i've accepted that many people like them and i see them so often that i rarely notice anymore. on ugly or average looking people i don't care, but to see one on such an otherwise beautiful person made me a little sad.

/rant

btw, the third thing i noticed was that she was with some low-life skater looking dude, with a few tats of his own. maybe i should get one.

Was it the Barkers?

I hear tattoo removal is a booming business.

I think sleeves (well done ones, anyways) are really hot on girls. But I think trite designs like tribals, hearts, and stars can be really tragic.

I don't mind tattoos in theory, but I agree that they don't normally look good. The ink is always such ugly colors and it rarely compliments the person's skin tone.

tattoos are very polarizing to me - either they're beautiful or terrible in most cases. Haven't yet seen a tat that made me go 'meh'

Have you ever seen a tattoo that made a girl look better or is it usually someone like Megan Fox who is so hot that the tattoos are OK because her innate hotness trumps the splotches she has had put on her in her search of a personality?

I like really vibrant colors on my tattoos. I have really fare skin so it really shows off the color of the ink well.

Tattoos are either great or horrible on people; but people do whatever they want to do. I personally love seeing tattoos on girls.

I prefer more traditional American looking tattoos myself. I don't mind traditional looking with a little bit of a contemporary style. I am okay with Japanese as well but it's not something I'd get.

I am thinking of doing my left half sleeve with a sailor theme. Tribal makes me sick. Portraits are okay on others but I wouldn't do it myself.

so basically you're gay OP? I mean that's fine and all, but this is a very roundabout way of coming out

The questions posed have been about how tattoos make other people (in particular women) look. All of your posts have to do with how good you think your own tattoos look. Do you happen to have a tattoo of a narcissus?
