even though the lbs are the same. I'm just using a pair of dumbbells but I can't do as many reps as I used to. I faithfully lift every other day so it's not like I should be getting weaker. Worst of all, it's a ridiculously light set of dumbbells. Anyone else ever have this?

Thanks guys. It's probably just that. I workout until I'm fatigued and can't lift them at all. Perhaps I should count the reps.

Your performance may decrease if your sleep quality declines. Many other possibilities exist.

Maybe you're being gaslighted with those dumbbells.

I get the feeling you are new to this. Take some time off. Maybe find a program, variety etc.

This is possible, I've been narcoleptic as of late.

You're thinking someone is loading them up with weight but keeping the numbers the same? That would be a clever practical joke.

Started at the beginning of the year just so my arms wouldn't look puny when summer rolled around.

Thanks. Maybe I'll start with soda cans and move up from there.

So hold on, you are doing dumbbell curls every day until fatigue?
Yes, you definitely need a program. Do a search here for beginner programs, because you are doing it wrong.

Lifting the same weight everyday is totally pointless, increase the weight, and if your still tired take an extra day off. Also how well do you eat? Do you sleep well? etc.

Or forget about the curls for now and do pullups with your palms facing you instead.
