Hair style - Page 2

wow, 19 and 6'5, but you don't look out of proportion though.

anyways, I was 19 and had hair of your length once, it took me a year or two to get that long, then one day I just got up and went to a barber shop and chopped them off. I knew I wasn't going anywhere with that long hair of mine, even though I didn't know what else I was gonna go afterwards, but getting rid of it seems the first obvious step.

Cool so right now you look like Mary Kate Olsen
It doesn't matter what style, just cut that shit my man
Get a Tom Cruise Mission Impossible 2 haircut if you want it to be longer
Good god man

Please cut it and if you want ideas shave it all off and try the bald look for a while

i say keep it. it seems to be a part of your personality and who you are. but more importantly, it would suck to have grown it for 5 years and not be able to see how potentially good it could look. 3 things to fix it:

1. don't straighten it - bc then you start to look like a girl. no one naturally has stick straight, flat hair. yeah, i know there are people with pretty straight hair, but not as straight on the ends like a flat iron does to it.

2. please side part it. very few people can pull off a middle part. i'm afraid you aren't one of them.

3. get some layers and a some bangs.

maybe something like this, but not as affected:

Nah, leave it. It's you. That's if you like it. Don't listen to others. You definitely don't look older than 19, and if you don't mind me saying- it gives you an androgynous look (some girls especially at your age that have common interests may really like that). Enjoy it.

I agree. You need some sort of styling. Even the 80s rocker look with a taper from front to back works better than straight all the way around. In the states at least, your haircut says skater, non-conformist/'individual', apathetic, anarchist, emo or some combination thereof. Those may not describe you and that may not be the case in England, but those are the stereotypes you will get here, fwiw.

Umm. I mean this seriously and not to be mean. It took me a few minutes to figure out if you were a boy or a girl... Your face has very soft rounded features. You're 19, so i suppose there's still time and within the next 5 years I'm sure your face will sort of square out and become more manly, but for now that haircut isn't doing anything for you. It looks pretty girly. Also, the long haired look a la grunge is a bit 90's and passe. It's a bit "out of fashion", as the kids say. I'm not going to just recomend "cut it all off". but as suggested I think a specific style, probably a bit off the length too would make a BIG difference. It needs some sort of shape really. Start there... eventually I'd actually try cutting it a lot shorter and doing something like the top bangs/mop look (Many's pic above), eventually down to a frohawk, then try buzzing it all off (I think every guy needs to try this once in their life)... Good luck

trying not to add too much fuel to the fire, but maybe this will be the fire that needs to be lit under his ass that will make him change it. when i saw his hair i thought: 1. he looks like he plays video games at an extremely unhealthy frequency. 2. if he keeps that cut, i'm going to have to assume his closet is composed of oversized bowling shirts with dragons and fire on them. 3. he probably attends weekend sci-fi war re-enactments with his buddies in the park.

The question is whether you want to look like you do now, or if you want to look like the guys on this forum. If it's the former, keep it. If it's the latter, cut it.

+1. If you like long hair, do it while you're young as it looks really odd on someone older (ie: late 40's).

You could pull off the Johnny Winter look pretty well with your hair color and the way you have it when straightened.

Definitely a WoW aesthetic going on there. You need to change the way you dress as well, or you'll be contributing to Britain's ongoing cultural demise.

Wow. Bump?

Thank you for the support and positive criticism you have given. I didn't ask for criticism on my clothing though, but thanks anyway. I decided (back when I posted the thread) that I was going to keep it because in the end it's my own decision, person A says cut it, it will look loads better and person B says nooo, it looks awesome, leave it...pretty confusing. I see a lot of long haired guys that have no idea how to care for their hair and it ends up looking utter shit (like mine probably looks from the photos heh) but they aren't the best pics.

Yesterday I decided to get it cut, I used to love it but I began to hate it (I've been growing it for about 7 years) simply because I couldn't be bothered with it any more, I have to get up at 5:30 for work now and sort my hair out, and it was killing me.

Anyway, who cares about why I did it? Here are some pics...

Better? Try not to be too brutal

Looks much better in my opinion. By the way, what nationality are you? For some reason you look Swedish to me. (But do Swedish people even have a look? Bleh.)
