But Lendl has to be up there as well, as he'd achieved great results over a long period of time. I mean, Federer JUST broke his record of GS Finals appearances, right? He was no.1 for 270 weeks, won over 80% of his singles matches in his career, but only went 8-11 in GS Finals (playing against Borg, McEnroe, Connors, Wilander).

The Aussie Open IMO produces some of the best matches in recent memory. This year alone, you had Fed-Nadal and Nadal-Verdasco. Past great matches have included Tsonga-Nadal, Fed-Safin, and a few others I'm blanking on.
But the Men's Finals at Wimbledon has been ridiculous for the past 7-8 years. My favorite of which was Ivanesevic-Rafter.
