take intro to wines, HADM 430. Marvelous class, professor Mutoski is a great educator though his lectures are a bit boring. You'll cover regions, varietals, production techniques, you'll hear from winemakers, estate owners, sommeliers, and you'll be tasting 5-6 wines every class in conjunction with the lectures.

Rumor has that it is the "most failed class at Cornell", but the data says otherwise (I think only around 5% fail each year, and its only 2 credits anyways). Exams aren't difficult although there were some tricky questions stuck in there. You only need to get 70% correct to pass.

I'm a business student at Ithaca and graduating next year. I wanted to go to grad school for enology at Cornell because I love Ithaca but you need to have a bio/chemistry degree which is understandable but disappointing.

My wife failed it, her only failing mark at Big Red. She blew off the final--seriously.
