I've owned nothing but crotch rockets, starting off with the venerable Kaw 750 H2 triple, but thinking I'm an old guy now and I'm investigating the allure of the big V-Twin.
The V-max was brutally fast in a straight line and although I have never ridden one it is my understanding it didn't handle very well in curves. Power cruisers accelerated quicker than sportbikes because the longer wheelbase kept them from wheelie-ing so easily. That advantage has just about been nullified by electronics (traction control, wheelie control, etc.).
The idea of sitting back and relaxing on a bike freaks me out. I like to stay hyper alert when riding cause the cagers are coming, the cagers are coming, the cagers are coming
I'm never getting old so I don't have to worry about "retiring" to a cruiser
