Getting so tempting, as my motorcycle fund grows, but have to hold back until we pay for our backyard project or face huge wife agro. The good news is by waiting I should have at least 1/2 of a Road Glide in cash.

Good question. I honestly don't see this as a big risk, but it's worth considering.. Have you looked at the Heritage Softtails?

Looks like a fun bike, and great for weekend trips which in your neck of the woods, would probably make for a great experience.. Hope you can make this happen soon my friend..

Friends, any thoughts on the route outlined in this trip?

Spot the difference

I know the dollar price is without sales tax, but certainly when buying a motorcycle the U.S. is a fine place to be.

Assuming a 10% sales tax adds about $2,300 to the U.S. based price, that is still a healthy difference even with the relatively weak euro..

I'm kinda catching feelings for the XSR900. I like the aesthetics more than the Striple.

Wish the front end wasn't so quasi adventure bike. You forget all that shit when you're riding though. That FZ-09 is so much fun.

I watched a 20 minute video review last night and regardless of fueling mode (A, B, Standard), the bike was wheeling in first and second gear.

I've never wheelied shit in my life.

Also, this WrenchMonkees model is what really piqued my interest:

If I could drop it like 2" without completely destroying the handling I would fuck with it. That's my only gripe. For the $$$$ though it's fucking brilliant. Had me giggling like a schoolgirl

Does Georgia's wretched ad valorem tax apply to motorcycles as well?
