Ordering my new chain and sprockets now.

Going with a gold DID 525VX and going down a tooth in the front to 17T.

What was wrong with my bike?

If the bike was ride-able, I would have considered it today. 60 degrees, and went to work late, so the roads would have been clear of traffic.

But, even if I had the right size throttle cables installed, I would have needed to reinstall the battery and make sure everything is running again...potentially only to have to put it away again for another month or two...so I took the train.

Ducati test rises nationwide the weekend of the 18th. I have a multi-day wedding in NYC so it will be impossible for me ride anything because I will probably be drunk off my ass (Hindu wedding and reception on Friday, church wedding and reception on Saturday)

Indian weddings terrify me.

The irony that you take 7 circles around a fire and that dante stated that there are 7 circles of hell isn't lost on me either.

It has already begun in our country. It was +10+15C and dry February.

Going to be in the upper 70s today and 80s tomorrow and thursday.  Keep in mind it snowed 5 days ago so there is plenty salt and sand on the street.  Be careful out there

No r1 for me. I've ridden it enough to know it's not what I'd want in a street bike. The initial excitement wore off for me. It's super uncomfortable and twitchy around town. It's meant for the track, not the street, so unless you're pulling jail-time speeds, it's just not as fun as something else (I think).

Ugh.  I was looking at upping my insurance.  I can go from my current injury/property damage 50/100/25 to a 500 single limit for <$20/year.  Easy decision there.  My under/uninsured is only 25/50.  Upping that to a 500 single limit more than doubles my rate.  Apparently MN has a lot of under/uninsured drivers out there.

The Aprilia seems like the best of both worlds with it's semi-fairings and upright riding position, but having spend some time on the new r1, I'm loving the aggressive stance as well.
Tuono would be my pick, though ~25 MPG sucks for a street bike.
