Disagree. It's meant to take the Bonnie platform in a more sporty direction - rather than to please the vintage revival crowd. 20%more torque @3200rpm than the older Bonnie. Take that Honda.

But it's also supposed to be easily customizable. So who knows what options will be available. I bet they felt threatened by the RnineT

If they wanted to make it sportier it needs more power and less weight. I think non beginner/large displacement motorcycles should be a little scary.

Not my cup of tea but thought the latest Victorys might peak some interest here:

Tried to finish my repairs and winterize the bike. Turns out the throttle cables I got are too long ffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gifffffuuuu.gif

Not only are the housings too long (which wouldn't be terrible, they would just hang out extra far), but the cables inside are a couple inches too long and thus no amount of adjustment can take out all of the slack.

I put my damaged cables back on (changing them is a PITA) and they are still functional enough that I could go out for one last bit of a ride in order to burn off the old gas in the tank, fill it up with fresh gas, and add some stabilizer.

That's fucking sick.

Just finished anatomy on tuesday. No mandatory classes for the rest of the year I don't think. Time to put the new fork on and take the bike to a shop to get the ride/sag sorted. Hopefully should be done in the next two weeks so I can ride as the weather shapes up in mid march!

Great time at Socal Supermoto. They provide bikes, lunch, fuel and free photography. Plenty of track time and safe environment to go fast.

First time on a DRZ400, mostly ride sportbikes/naked bikes.

My first time ride was on Suzuki 650 V Strom. Very comfortable bike, however I fell in love with Yamaha TDM 900.

BMW s1000r vs. s1000rr vs. Panigale 959 vs. Aprilia Tuono for my next bike? I realize they're all pretty different, but I love them all for differing reasons. The Aprilia seems like the best of both worlds with it's semi-fairings and upright riding position, but having spend some time on the new r1, I'm loving the aggressive stance as well.

Signed up for the basic course at the end of the month. need to get my bikeeee build.

The goddamn heated grip I ripped off is going to be a huge pain in the ass. The company doesn't make them anymore so I'm going to have to gut everything off if I want to install new ones. It was all done so well too and they worked phenomenally. Fark.

I thought you were sold on the R1 after I read your impressions of having ridden your buddys!

It feels like riding season might come early this year.

It might rain today and tomorrow here.  Then 60s the rest of the week.  If that's the case, I'll be riding this week, but until it rains - no way so much sand and salt still on the roads.
