A bit of dual-sport riding I did this summer. Like most GoPro videos, it does a great job of flattening everything out. The hills were steeper and the ruts deeper, I swear! :D

Wow, talk about a blast from the past. I lament the passing of the "forum era" regularly (was just reminiscing about their demise last weekend actually), but I suppose I am just as guilty of moving on from them as well.

So many things have changed in life, one being that I don't really ride anymore. I still have the Ducati but it hasn't been ridden in years and needs basically everything gone through before it's roadworthy. Back in 2015 I bought a KTM 690 Enduro, added a rally kit to it, and did some cool/fun riding for a few years. After a trip from TX down to Acapulco and Oaxaca, I got back to the US and promptly had the bike stolen. I replaced it with a 69 Roadrunner (since I had gotten adopted a dog and it's hard to bring a Rottweiler on a bike), and then continued the descent into the mundane, sold the Roadrunner and bought a Model 3 Performance.

Last year I bought a DS1000 Hypermotard motor for the Sport Classic, but I don't know when or if that project will actually happen. I did move down to Charlotte, and so there are loads of great roads just west of me...so maybe this winter?

Hey man, wow, i didn’t actually expect you to show up lol! I’m in Texas these days, but have a place in East TN, so maybe Blue Ridge Parkway is in your future! Seriously, lot of water under the bridge, and glad to hear you’re doing well. Only dog I ever owned was a Rottie and when he passed from cancer 18 years ago, I didn’t have the heart to do another

Some of us are just all about bicycles now!

I miss my motorcycle sometimes but it has no clear place in my life right now.

Think the only thing more dangerous than riding a motorcycle on Houston freeways is riding a bicycle on Houston surface streets

Very nice, red wheels are a great touch. Enjoy, that looks like a hell of a fun bike to ride!

Does anyone here have any experience with lithium batteries? This would be for city bike, ridden ~5 miles a day round trip for commutes, maybe once a week for a 45 min ride, parked on the street, with no access to an outlet for a battery tender. Not ideal conditions for lead acid batteries. Would lithium be better?

I switched to a lithium battery for my motorcycle after I went through three lead batteries in three years. I rarely ride anymore, and I will sometimes forget to put it on the charger for a month and it is still fine. Compared to my lead battery which would be dead in 2 weeks without a tender.

I bought one of these: https://www.amazon.com/stores/page/...d8d6-3e8b-46d1-bf9d-dd2f39715eaa&ref_=ast_bln
