I would say a Forest Green or Black. http://www.gardinerlarson.com/exteri...k_revival.html But since you said Mediterranean, I would say Blue lol As that is mostly what I saw throughout the Med, Blue some Reds and some lighter(sometimes darker) greens.

Really need a pic of the house. The white and dark blue could look neat if you are in the right climate.

If you change the color of the shutters you'll also have to change the roof. I suggest tile roof with terracotta- will look infinitively better IMO.

You could go with an unpainted door and shutters so you could see the wood and just tint/varnish the wood. Brown goes with blue and white, you know.

^I agree, it's almost too much blue, so a really nice dark stained door would look great. The front is very flat, so it would give it a little more depth.

It isn't bad as is but I think the terracotta is a great idea. My only concern is that it looks like you are in the midwest or northeast? So all these Mediterranean looks seem a little out of place for the surroundings. I'd also try to build an entry way to give it some depth, even if it is just some thick molding around the front entrance. That arched window makes this difficult though.

I'd invest most of the money on a great wood door. Otherwise your house is going to look like something out of My Big Fat Greek Wedding.
