Why can be dismissive (without giving the info as to why he's being that way - but then, it's not his job to train everyone), but when he does drop knowledge, the dude gives good, helpful advice.

I think that although not everyone has an egual pain barrier, when your in the gym different people have different abilities to push depending on how much they want it. Some of my friends go to the gym and after like 6 reps are like "wow, no more!" but they don't appear to not be able to finish the rep.

Also I think you can train your pain barrier, I started playing some rugby, and my pain barrier increased ten fold.
