Yeah the 8 plot lines that diverge and lightly connect with the main one is ruining the show.
I was talking to Mauro about it today and we were trying to count how many subplots there were going on with the vamps vs. witches being in the foreground. And like you mentioned, now the subplots are interacting with each other and spawning more subplots. It's ridiculous.
I'm not saying that complexity can't be a good thing or that the writers are doing a poor job in weaving everything together, but it all seems way overboard, especially this season. How is anyone supposed to care about Sam's brother when he's one of thirteen other elements given two or three minutes per episode?
