They've gone so far off the reservation now that it really doesn't matter much any more.

Speaking of spoilers...can I get you guys to, like, not post anything at all about season three until the DVD set comes out? I fear it, the deja vu.

Don't go in to this thread at all if you don't want to hear about season 3. I never enter threads about TV shows/movies until I've actually watched them/caught up. Just unsubscribe.

The ending was lol.

Seriously, the book readers need to fucking stop with the spoilers, unintentional though they might be. I don't really care how different the show is; you guys still give away shit that I am reasonably confident nobody who hasn't read the books wants to hear. Get your own thread for that shit.

W/e...do you want me to PM you and tell you what Sookie is? Do you!?

I have the power here!

Who's quoting spoilers? And what would it even matter since they're just barely skimming the books anyways?

I was LMAO when I saw that. Nice jar though. It was like a golf trophy.

People keep posting shit like "ZOMG, Character X is so different from his portrayal in the book! He's a Y in the book, but he hasn't been revealed as one yet!" etc. Clearly not that blatant, as this is a hypothetical example. But I've seen a lot of shit that skims pretty close. [EDIT: Perfect example -- someone a few pages back revealed what Crystal and her family were, via book spoilers.] Point is, shut the fuck up about it if it's in the book and hasn't happened yet in the series. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp. Watchers of the show generally don't care, and aren't impressed by, how much the show differs from the novels. If they were, they'd read the novels. People should start a Southern Vampire Series or Sookie Stackhouse Novels thread if they want to talk shop there. More power to them if so; not hating on the books whatsoever. I just don't enjoy spoilers, even if slight and even if inadvertent or unintentional. Honestly, I don't feel that an "if it hasn't happened yet, don't spoil it" policy is too much to ask on a TV thread.

yeah, i found out what sookie, jason, and the meth people are in this thread because i ran into book spoilers. even the erik stuff was mentioned before it happened. i'd rather find out about it in the show.

Did anyone else get the lulz from the King having Talbott slime in a crystal urn and talking to it?

Yeah, srsly. I thought he was going to start calling it "my precious" or something.

I'm still confused why they can't kill him? I understand he's old, but seems like a wooden bullet jason used would work.
i think it was more along the lines of following the rules and the fact he's a king. up until this point they had no reason to kill him, aside from erik who would have been tried/killed for doing so. now it's a free-for-all. he has the upper hand with age, though.

somehow some way sookie kills him. bank on it.
