And Franklin really is dead.

Dude, this is a fantastic excuse for her to turn to lesbianism. Or anal. I'd prefer the former but will be happy with anything.

I don't think so. Notice how every vampire turns into a big pile of goo as soon as they've been killed? Nothing happened to Franklin (other than his head caving in)

I'm willing to bet good money that Franklin is not dead. It's a well-known rule in soap operas (which, let's be honest, this show basically is) that someone's not actually dead until you see the body cremated, the ashes spread, and the actor announcing his or her departure from the series. And even then, sometimes characters come back under flimsy and ill-explained pretenses.

As far as this show goes, until we see the vampire turned into molten goo, he's still around.

After looking around online apparently SF is the only place where Tara is hated and people want her to die/be killed. That's fucking disappointing as hell. People actually like her...

How is that possible? She is absolutely terrible.

Tara gets a little too much hate on SF, but it's true that her character has grown increasingly more annoying since season one. She started out fairly interesting, but she basically plays one note and plays it constantly. We get it, Tara, you're afraid to let people in. Christ, find a new topic already. The whole "I'm going to act tough and bitchy to hide the fact that I am bothered by my victimhood" shtick can't sustain an entire character indefinitely.

Contrast Tara's non-evolution as a character with that of, say, Lafayette. Lafayette has evolved subtly, but wonderfully as a character ever since his kidnapping and torture. He came back from that experience a changed man. Though he tries to put on his usual act and keep up appearances, he is now haunted by the trauma. He is a perfect example of how a character should grow or change steadily over time with a story arc.

As for Tara, I'm not in the "kill her off" camp with a lot of people here. But I can sympathize somewhat. At the very least, we can agree that she is not an interesting addition to the show right now and, at worst, is a detraction from it.

I was thinking along the same lines myself. Do you think they actually fucked?
