It's really surprising that nobody is able to identify a good, midrange, reliable online vendor with reasonable prices.

What do you consider reasonably priced? Tyrwhitt's are only $7.50 /pair. I think that is a very reasonable price.

The ebay seller in China has them for ~ $3.00/pair, and I think the quality is indistinguishable from Pink or Brooks Brothers.

The quality of those is anything but indistinguishable from Pink or BB. See posts 7 and 9 above.

The ones I have from China/HK have stretched and fallen apart within a year, while the ones I have from dept stores, BB, and other such "quality" stores have not. There is a difference.

You can try www.silkknots.com. Anyone buy from there before?

They have a good selection, I may try them. Not much to lose.

Anyone know where I could order knots with custom color combo's? I want to match up my shirts better. I haven't found anyone with much of a 3-color selection.

Brooks Brothers outlets sell 3 sets of silk knots for $15.

Off Saks sells 3 silk knots for even cheaper, about $12. The knots are rather large though, and may not fit in shirts with small buttonholes.

Should I gun to match the tie I will most likely wear, or the shirt (ie: stripes/French cuffs)?

I've also become quite fond of the silk barrel knots like these:

Robert Talbott on Madison has had some similar to those depicted and in some unique-ish color combos.
