4 seasons kona. done. best, most beautiful resort i have been to. though not a ton to do besides chill out, eat and be catered to in every way possible.

4 seasons maui (wailea) pretty damn good to. more activities, mixed with luxury resort which sounds like what you are looking for.

Nobody mentioned the JW on oahu. It's very nice. It's also far off Waikiki and a bit outside of Honalulu, so you get a little more of the seclusion but still have access to Allen Wong's, Ono's, and some of the other Waikiki must go joints like leather soul.

The Halekulani's sister property across the street has a Lotus package too.
