do any normal grocery stores or drugstores sell deodorants that dont also double as an antiperspirant? i dont need the sweat reduction aspect- just the odor killing.

brand suggestions would be appreciated

I use either Tom's of Maine (unscented) deodorant or Anthony's Logistics. I do not want my deodorant to interfere with my cologne. Tom's is available in Walgreens or Whole Foods. Anthony's is in Nordy's, Sephora, or other department stores. The Tom's is about a third of the price, but lasts 20% as long as the Anthony's. They also sell a crystal... I bought one, but I've never used it.

Speed stick is the only deoderant non-antipersperant that I've found to work well. The blue is the best.

tom's of maine is great. i can put it on, work up a good sweat, and still not smell.

Has anyone ever told you that you bear an amazing resemblance to Eddie Murphy?

Tom's of Maine is great. I've used their woodspice one for years. The the unscented one is a bit too lemongrassey for me, and the others a bit too feminine. In any case, they last all day, even after a workout. Amazon sells a 6-pack for around $30. (BTW, there's a $10 coupon for their 6-pack right now, I'm stocking up.)

the original tom's of maine did not work well for me, but the new one, in a green container, does. it says "sensitive care" on it and it lasts all day and night. i use the unscented one.

There are tons in standard drug stores. If you're looking for scented you just have to smell them to see which are ok for you. Good to know about the unscented ones, but I wonder how they work (always thought deodorants worked by scents to cover and alcohol to kill off bacteria).

The primary ingredient of the Tom's unscented is hops. There are some odor neutralizing herbs out there... but probably not good for the naturally stinky.

I use Weleda's Sage deodorant. It works, and smells excellent, but just for a minute or two, then the smell evaporates and you are left with the protection.

Tom's didn't work at all for me

but Arm & Hammer Essentials is great

I have never seen Arm and Hammer unscented w/ out Aluminum... does it exist?

remove meat from your diet. you are what you eat. diet affects the scent and strength of the sweat odor, so it starts with diet and washing every day.

i use adidas, it doesnt have aluminum, and it doesnt stop any sweating.

I'm vegetarian and my BO stinks. I agree that eating tons of garlic may not be the best idea though.

Anyway, the crystal deodorant works great. I keeps you odorless and actually somewhat dry. Unfortunately, my skin reacted terribly to it after using it for about 6 months. My armpits became very dry and they hurt really bad. I didn't have any reacton though until around the sixth month.

Tom's of Maine long-lasting unscented deodorant makes me smell bad.
