+1 to Dark city

+1 to The Fountain, cause it might be my favorite movie of all time.

This Boy's Life is severely underrated, perhaps De Niro's best performance and young DiCaprio is awesome in it.

Eastern Promises too

+1 to Dark City, Iron Giant, The Fall, and Royal Tenenbaums. Also, pretty much every good movie made before the 1980s is underappreciated by the "general viewing public."

The Royal Tenenbaums got pretty good reviews, I don't think it is under appreciated. I consider it as one of his best movies actually.

However, I am not a movie buff since I do like stupid movies as well, but I feel Rounders was under-rated.

Bodies, Rest and Motion

All of these well known cult classics and Hollywood successes from the past few years aren't really "underappreciated." Wes Anderson? srsly guys. How about some actual obscure movies that we haven't heard of.
