Looking for tips on pants...

My search for good affordable pants is not going too well, so I thought i'd ask you guys here for some tips.

I'm looking for casual dress pants with fairly low waist and straight leg cut, and prefferably under 150$(in dark blue and light grey to be even more specific).

Most pants i've found are either too high waisted(I like to wear my pants under my belly) and when I sit down the crotch is like a tent, or they are too low-waisted creating the opposite problem - putting the male edowements on public display(perhaps because I have a big butt, so the pants get a little too tight in that area).

As a reference, when I buy jeans I like Jack & Jones and Diesel's more comfort fit models, which fit very well on me.

Perhaps you have some good tips on what pants to get?

Jos A Banks si running a buy one get two today through sunday on all their suits, sport coats and pants. You can get three pair for about 150-200$, that is where I get most of my suits from since it is such a high quality but not a high quality price.

It's not really an alternative because i'm not sure what size to get and which models fit me, besides i'm too impatient to keep a lookout for such items.

For that price range, you should have a lot of options, just need to shop more.

Part of your problem is because you like wearing your pants low, it leaves too much room down the crotch (some people call that area the "fork"). Diesels jeans fit you well because they have low rise.

Suit trousers usually have a medium rise which are not meant to be worn low but just below the belly button. If you want them to hang just on the hip bone you may need to go bespoke.

Not sure how well this would work out for you, but I would check French Connection. Back in the fall, I got a pair of light grey dress pants with a low rise, and they fit me perfectly. I wear my pants around the same place as you.

Not a huge fan of some of their stuff, but Club Monaco typically carries dress pants that are low rise and in the price range that you mentioned.

You can get diffrent rises in their pants, you will probably have to go inperson to check them out though.

Yeah, i've noticed that more formal trousers tend to have medium to high rise. Sometimes a medium rise can work well for me, but wearing pants too high looks very unflattering on me. I've also noticed that some pants work better than others. Sometimes, even if I wear them higher, I still get the same problem(especially with the pockets standing out).

I don't know if bespoke is within in my price range(never looked into it but tailors around where I live take charge aprox 150-250$ for a shirt, and i'm assuming trousers are more expensive).

Thanks, i'll check them out. How is the quality on French Connection? I've never bought anything from them, but sometimes they carry items that seems pretty nice.

Ah, too bad they dont have any stores in my country(and I just noticed that they currently don't make any international shipments... too bad).

Yoox has very little in my size, and they mostly carry more jeans-like models. I've found a couple of stores that carry them locally, but they are very expensive(more like 500$) and i've only found slim-fit models. I'd love to find Incotex dress pants for a good price, and a cut that fits, because they seem like very fine quality, but it's difficult.

With Incotex i'm not entierly sure... I have a pair of more jeans-like Inco's, which fit well and are a size 50. I'm usually between 48-50(italian size, i'm about 33-34" in waist). If you have anything that might fit i'm definitely interested.

Take some measurements of pants you find that fit and go from there. They can run slim in the thighs if you're chubby or do heavy lifting, but 99% of sellers of Incos on this board post complete measurements of their wares because of slight variations. It took me some trial and error, but couldn't be happier now with Incos.

I agree with the Incotex advice, Ive purchased several off of the B&S forum and prefer them to anything else Ive found.
