Here's the scenario: two cats. So in our new house, I want to shoo them out of the master bedroom every morning, and lock them out of the bedroom. So, there can be no way for them to get under the bed. I don't need/necessarily want a storage bed, but this comes very close to be aesthetically acceptable: http://www.roomandboard.com/rnb/prod...ubcategory=bed The headboard is meh. This is interesting too:

Interesting, but not quite for me. I don't want a very low, Japanese style bed with a big ledge around the mattress. I just want a nice looking, king size, platform bed that the cats can't get under. Solid wood wanted. Any suggestions welcome.

My dream bed. That store will be the death of me when I have an apartment that can fit that ****. edit: f'in link, look for the solid teak bed. It's 1 of the 6 beds, I trust you can find it.

That's a pretty interesting bed. Not quite what I'm going for though.

This is what we have, but it isn't what you want. Super comfortable to sleep on.

In HKG, a lot of houses use this solution. Not sure whether its practical for you though.

The problem with the Porro stuff is that the finishing looks kind of crappy in real life. We looked at a the Tokyo bed, but it looked cheaply made.

I bought the Corner Leg Platform West Elm bed and like it a lot.
I am not sure on the forum consensus on West Elm is though. I have liked it since I bought it.

I think I may have done everything anti-forum consensus though, b/c I also bought a Tempur-pedic mattress.

Maybe you shouldn't have married someone so needy...

It's like a vacation to a third world country, but in the comfort of your own home! I suggest you try it sometime. It will make you feel like one of the "common folk"(but with, yaknow, more $krilla)...

Particularly useful when you want to listen to some rap music, but white guilt starts creeping in around the edges.
