Andrew, does original size mean actual size (when viewed 100%)? And thank you for photographing the bunches; great source of inspiration.

Sorry I missed this for so long. No, it is not. If you would like a to-scale photograph, just e-mail or PM me with what you would like and I am happy to oblige.

Also, I am happy to get swatches out to people so that they can compare things themselves. The only problem with swatches is that sometimes they do not reveal the entire check or pattern.

Gang, the tartans and linings have arrived. I've got all the tartans up and you can see them at the link below. Linings are coming and I'll put up the prices as soon as I have added all the right tags to the images on Flickr. Tartans 45 GBP a metre http://www.flickr.com/photos/british...7621787724031/ AND, finally, linings are here http://www.flickr.com/photos/british...7621912693274/ Prices for lining vary quite a bit, so it is best to contact me. Prices vary depending on how much you want and whether you are ordering it with something else. Cheers, Andrew

In this pile of lining was hidden the coatings bunch :-) See it at Flickr http://www.flickr.com/photos/british...7621967598694/ That pretty much completes the offerings for now. I might put up some better shots of J&J Minnis and John G Hardy cloth as it passes through my hands, given their photographs are not so great. For those who were interested in cover coating and velvet collars, I asked LBD about it and they have told me it is simply a matter of ordering the cover coating and velvet (from the cotton velvet bunch). Covert coating is also available from HFW. They have some colours Harrisons haven't, and conversely Harrisons have some colours HFW haven't, well, one, anyway, which is navy. PRICES 100% cashmere 230 GBP 85% golden bale 15% cashmere 185 GBP 100% wool (All Wool) 540 gms 62 GBP 100% wool (All Wool) 700 gms 62 GBP 85% wool 15% camel hair 560 gms 62 GBP 100% camel hair 120 GBP Cover coating (100% wool) 65 GBP

Hi Andrew, what's covert coating? Do I have to be an ex-SAS/Navy Seal to order it? =)

LOL It is a twill-weave and usually in a neutral colour, like green or brown, as can be seen on line. Navy is also done by Harrisons and HFW (J&J Minnis) do a lovely grey. The cloth is best used to make up a covert coat, which, despite its origins, has become quite popular in the city.

I will sell to anybody!!!

Here are some pictures. That's Harrisons' offerings on the left and HFW's on the right.

Yeah, the Riviera bunch is quite Italian for an English mill, esp. J&J Minnis.

Are these new prices inclusive of shipping? Your shipping description is a little vague. If not what would 3.5 metres to the U.S. generally cost? Thanks.

I've sent a PM. It is vague as I can't be specific to the entire SF population. None of those prices per metre include shipping.

This is a great resource, thank you.

In which of those books would I find good odd jacket fabrics, outside of tweeds?

There are some that are done by John G Hardy, like Riviera, which are found on the HFW site but to which I have access.

Also, Harrisons do Sunbeam, which has a few patterns in it. That's wool and silk.

I'll look into what else there is and get back to you.
