Finished the last 20 pages of Armada this morning before heading to the office. It was pretty disappointing. I enjoyed the author's last book, Ready Player One, but this one just read like a book written by a 15-year-old nerd checking off a list of nerd stereotypes.

I downloaded The Quiet American to my Nook last night. I have been wanting to read this for a while but it hadn't been available on my Nook, so I lazily opted to read other things. I expect I'll start it tonight.

Finished The Quiet American last night. I really enjoyed it. I just started reading Purity by Jonathan Franzen.

Any Italo Calvino fans? I've been meaning to get started on Invisible Cities, but for some reason I'm lacking the urge. I need to hear somebody say it's great.

I picked up Thomas Jefferson and the Tripoli Pirates on a whim at the Barnes this Sunday. It's short and looks like it's written for adventure. Who doesn't like a good Barbary coast pirate story?

Friends recommended me Difficult Loves and If on a winters night a traveler but still haven't started either.

Another awesome book by PH. Not as disturbing or action packed as Deep Water, but still quite good.

Taking a break from fiction with the following from my favorite author:

Pretty much everything Calvino wrote is great, in my experience. I don't remember Invisible Cities super well, but I do remember enjoying it. It's probably a bit more If On A Winter's Night . . . or Cosmicomics than Baron In The Trees or Nest of Spiders, if that helps at all.

Just finished

Interesting, but not worth the time really

Brutal and super engaging. Recommended for any fan of drug/crime/corruption. Fiction based loosely on el chapo .

This was a good one, a fictional look at NYC art world.

This is next in the queue

Anyone have any suggestions for art related reading?
Ive enjoyed goldfinch, the art forger, 8million dollar shark.

Finished The Quiet American last night. I really enjoyed it. I just started reading Purity by Jonathan Franzen.

Finished Purity a couple of days ago. Started The Secret History by Donna Tartt.
