I must read "Death in Venice" but I'm too lazy...

A bit of Mann must be good at one point in my life.

Been reading pynchon's crying lot of 49. Really like it. Like a cross of Nabokov and Scorsese's After Hours. Also bought Gravity's Rainbow and am looking forward to it

I, too, am reading the Dune series- I just finished Dune Messiah. What's your opinion on Children Of Dune?

I liked Children of Dune quite a bit...but my opinion probably doesn't mean much being that my favorite of the 3 I read so far was Dune Messiah, the least liked Dune novel written (by Herbert).

It's interesting, after reading most of Camus' works over the past year, that there's a strong sentimentality in his work - not unlike Charles Dickens. I will be scorned for that last part of the sentence, but I can't get it out of my mind.

I read "L'Etranger" when I was 16 and it was a revelation.

La Peste and La Chute are also masterpieces..

I need to read Le Premier Homme too.
