No. Ayn Rand wrote some of the worst crap ever peddled, both in terms of her ideas and her fiction. She was like some nightmare combination of J.K. Rowling, Danielle Steele, and Freidrich Nietszche.

I just finished A Single Man. I really liked Isherwood's style but I couldn't really relate to the protagonist on most points, and even if I recognize myself in him to some extent most of his internal monologue goes way above my head. Maybe when I grow old I'll be able to understand him more...
