Just finished The Last Lecture by Randy Pausch. Very quick read.

Already 50 pages into Snuff by Palahniuk. I didn't even realize this was coming out in 08', much less that it had been out for over 3 months.

Creeping along in book 4 of the dark tower series. It's going kinda slow with the whole flashback thing. Taking a while to kick back into gear, but I do like young Roland.

McCarthy - The Road

Just finished Shantaram. It was OK, but I lost some interest upon learning that it was a work of fiction (it kinda packages itself as being more autobiographical than it actually is). Probably 100 pages too long.

I enjoyed this so much I decided to read the entire Border Trilogy. It was a very good decision. McCarthy is fast becoming one of my favorite contemporary authors.

Yeah, he writes very well, although in a completely opposite way of Murakami, who's my favorite at the moment. It's funny how completely diverging ways of writing can both be so engaging.

I've been reading it off and on for a year now. I'm about ready to take another run at it. Maybe I should just wait and watch the movie.
