Rock-it-Shoes of England question/identification help

Well I found what seems to be a most bizarre pair of shoes. They are rather heavy. with the soles nearly an inch tall and solid rubber. I can't find much of anything about them online, but hopefully the pictures will do all the talking i need.
Any information would be nice.

Soles look like Playboy Originals (the brandname) shoes from mid 60s to mid 70s. Very popular on the east coast.

Hi
Google "Brothel creepers" they originaly had thick crepe soles, still quite a few companies making them. they are standard fare for the 50's rockabilly crowd.

It would be easier to tell if you took better pictures of that writing on the inside side of the shoe

Hi All, I was wondering if anybody knew a little more about the original Playboy shoes, where they are from and when. I know they originated out of England and was produced as early as the '30.

These are also known as 'Beatle Crushes' George Cox offers a top end version but similar cheaper models can be also found a company called 'Underground London' they might have some more info on the model and design
