Also, I was in their NY store this weekend, and I noticed that they were selling New & Lingwood Russian Reindeer Calf shoes for something like $1500, which I didn't know they made RTW. It was pretty cool.
New & Lingwood has not been known for their bespoke shoes since Cleverley & co. left around 1991. Their Russia calf shoes are sold at a huge markup and made, I believe, to benchgrade standard by C&J. Cleverley gets right of first refusal on the hides, which Cleverley only uses for bespoke. The surcharge for Russia calf from Cleverley is only a few hundred dollars -- nothing like the thousand-dollar surcharge N&L wants on its RTW.
