Everything's going to be fine until you bring another girl home and your roommate takes a razor blade to your Borrelli jackets. Sure, that's probably not going to happen, but do you want to take the small risk that it will?

Duration of this is important. You're in Canada. Get one of the Canadian law dogs here to give you advice, as I think the mere act of living with a woman for a certain length of time, is enough to establish some sort of relationship that might require you paying her off.
