The rug looks like an inkblot test. And how would you clean off that side table if you get it dirty?

to shoot out some ideas for your "needs" category, I'll share some of my personal favorites:

desks, 2 that I like, I own the Muji one coupled with a classic chair from Eames and a storage unit from Ikea

Or, I've come to love this one by Herman Miller.

For shelving, I went the Ikea route with this one but i got the stainless finish and held by these brackets for a much more seamless look on the wall.

For lamps, I am really considering ordering one of these for my new apartment. I think it would look quite nice in your grey space if I might add, though I know you mentioned a floor lamp. It is also available has a hanging unit.

Dig this coffee table, but I can see it being a pain.

Enjoy the new place!

I loved that coffee table when I was looking the other week....but not available until Sept. Could go this route. http://www.dwr.com/product/furniture...ortby=ourPicks http://www.allmodern.com/Kartell-884...e-KTL1152.html ..probably going to walk around and maybe check out some antique/vintage stores this weekend to look

Is this new place conducive towards orgies?

I suppose the black wood floors would show semen well.

stick a cheap ass unit from Ikea in there and just wait until Sept. when that other one comes in.

Also, this floor lamp is awesome, like a beacon in a NYC apartment.

If you don't mind round, this one is ridiculous.

And don't forget the bed stand

I think you mentioned it in a previous thread.

But isn't your new place near the Bowery?

I lived there as a little kid about 50 years ago.

Do the old neighborhood proud
