Is a pure latex mattress really better than a spring one?

No. Definitely not.

A high quality pocket spring mattress is basically as good as you can get.

we've been using a Dunlopillo latex mattress for the past 5 years and i have not woken up with any aches or pains once since using it, as i regularly occasionally did on my previous spring mattresses.

Spring mattress only for me. Just got a serta cloud 9 king size bed and love it. Ever jump into a latex bed. That will knock the wind out of you LOL

hmmm...currently considering this decision as we speak. I am voting spring, and she is voting ...whats-that-stuff-called...memory foam...man, it's kind of popular...tempur-pedic.

still fighting this one out.

I'm a Tempur dealer, it's nice to make money but I couldn't recommend it to anyone. Luckily the stuff sells itself so I just have to take the order instead of trying to convince people to take it. That eases my conscience a bit, that and the revenue I receive from it

Tempur is definitely overpriced and hyped.

What do you think about IKEA mattresses. Are they good?

Please say more. My wife wants a memory foam as we are moving to a king size (need more space for little kids who come into our bed in the middle of the night) and I prefer a more firm mattress and am not sold on the foam. Thanks

Is Ikea even allowed to be mentioned on the style forum.

I can't fuck on a tempur-pedic matress. No motion-in-the-ocean so to speak. Plus, they retain heat like a motherfucker so if you're hot when you sleep it's definitely not for you.

Ikea is comfortable for a couple of years, they're OK for the money but nothing special.

Rambo mentioned two important points, Tempur is incredibly warm. Also they're definitely not comfortable. But may be if you've been married for a long time that doesn't matter anymore

Basically, because it's completely a foam mattress it doesn't ventilate at all. That is why it feels so warm.

Thanks! Is there any web resource for rating of mattresses that you could recommend? I was offered a high-end bed from a Norwegian company called Wonderland. Have you heard about them? http://wonderland.no/index.php?lid=nl
