Do you mean OnStar? Northstar is Caddy's name for their engine.

I am not proud to say it but (it was a low time in my life) I actually sold Cadillacs (and other GM cars). It was around the time when they changed to the newer body style you see in the pics.

Apparently, Cadillac needed to update their image to appeal to a bit younger generation because most of their clientelle were, well, dying.

That's when the new body style came out (somewhere around 2000-2002) and ads for Cadillac with Led Zeppelin songs started to appear.

Ahahahahahahahahahahaha!!

It amazes me what works some people up. Tom Wolfe has a new Caddy...so the hell what? I always thought beauty and style were subjective, but I guess I was wrong.

Yeah, that stupid safety, efficiency, comfort, and reliability always get in the way. I hate them!

Or perhaps the White Caddy, c. 1970's, from <<Escape from New York>>.

I abhor Escalades.

If it wasn't for that rather conspicuous Cadillac logo on the tailgate, I wonder if they would be as popular.

Not worked up, just the whole 0.02$ concept.

Actually I wasn't being sarcastic; just feel it's more of a marketing thing than substance.
