Expansive, but a tad too traditional. No pics of the Masturbating Bear or the Fedex Pope to be found.

Nice crib.

I love the pool pavilion. The "den" is a pretty cool room, too. Seems like a good place for the men to hang and have a glass of scotch. The rest of it is a bit meh to me. I actually rather dislike the front of the house. The topiaries look goofy.

Some very nice rooms/features, some meh stuff. But let's face it, worth more than any home I'll ever live in, so who am I to complain?

It's quite nice. A little bit of New England feel in LA, not surprised Conan would go for that.

Average looking NE home. I hope he got better than Illegal-Mexican craftsmanship for 10 mill, but I doubt it.

It's all about what your GC is willing to pay out for, no matter who does the actual work.

That outdoor kitchen area is badass. If I live somewhere in the South where it's nice all year round, I'd never cook indoor.

Yeah, I noticed that shot right away. Outdoor kitchens rock.

Does nothing for me.

West LA used to have just about the nicest swath of residential architecture in the country. Hollywood trash and their teardowns have ruined it.

If I were king, ever Wallace Neff, PR Williams, Arthur Kelly, Gordon Kauffman, Julia Morgan, and Bernard Maybeck house in California would be landmarked.

Same goes for the beautiful old apartments in the Miracle Mile - 15 feet high ceilings, plaster, hard wood floors - torn down by developers to be replaced with 30 unit carpeted monstrosities.

I'd take it.

Thinking of renovating my house similarly. I was thinking about even the same color scheme outside. I'd like to go a little bit more crazy with the interior, but I think something like this is good for resale purposes. I'd live here, though it does seem kind of weird to have this kind of look in LA.

I only got as far as the first pic 'cause anytime you have a house with shutters, even if you never close them (and nobody does 'cept maybe me), they have to be of a size that could actually cover the window else they look damn stupid. And these do. So there.
