Vintage LV Trunk

Thread Starter
Wasn't sure where to put this but: I want a vintage Louis Vuitton trunk. Preferably one not in super good condition, as I want to restore it... and I don't want to pay $30 000.
I've tried ebay, and doing google searches, but I'm wondering if anyone can suggest somewhere to look.
Anyways, this is one of my long term things that I am always looking for, so I'm in no rush: I'm waiting for the perfect one. I'm not too picky on the exact model.
So: any suggestions for where to look? I'm guessing they aren't the kind of gem that slip into antique shops without their worth being noticed. Has anyone here obtained one?
Thanks.

I would say auctions and estate sales will be your best bet.

You're a month too late. A local store that just closed its doors had a vintage 100 yr old LV trunk going for $6000. Not sure what they did with it.

Doesn't Fuuma have one?

If not, LabelKing, SoCal, or Rach probably do.

That doesn't mean they want to sell though.

I would think that Ebay would be the best place for availability and price. But it's a crap shoot as to authenticity. I doubt there are nearly as many vintage knock offs as NWT knock offs.

ebay.fr Sometimes LV, Hermès or less known companies (now closed but just as good) sell for ridiculously low prices; shipping and customs to the US will destroy you but prices can be like 1K€
