I've have good cognac that was $65 dollars - Remy Martin 1738. But besides that, I haven't found a very good cognac under $200. Its just one man's opinion, though. I've never had a cognac that cost $1k either.

I prefer Bushmills up, but I just can't bring myself to order it in a pub.
