Went to Costco today and got about 4lbs of this at $10.99/lb.

Last year I waited and they were gone quick.

Damn, that's a great price. Might be worth getting a membership...

Not bad.

Wow, that's some seriously good price on those. I've seen them go for as much as 3x that amount before at a fish shop. Maybe I'll have to look into a membership.

Seriously, $28-32 isn't unheard of around here. I wish I had one. Someone should proxy for me

All salmon is frozen before getting to stores. Kills any worms.

I'm assuming it's smoked salmon, right? How long will it last unopened? 4lbs is a lot.

No not smoked. Fresh. with skin, and scales .

Had to descale at home, cut to dinner size pieces, and freeeze. Save for later

Ah. Makes more sense. Nice that they left the scales on there for you. Adds a bit of crunch.

Some enterprising sleuthing around on the internet by ME revealed that online price for Copper River salmon is around $25/lb.

I think I'm going back this afternoon to stock up more.

The salmon freezes well?
It's obviously not going to be the same after you freeze it, unless its vacuum sealed
