Rock Band: The Beatles

Let me preface this by saying that I was/am a Beatles fan, I play (real) guitar/bass, and I have own Guitar Hero 3.
The trailer for The Beatles Rock Band came out, with press photos of the instruments: http://www.engadget.com/2009/06/01/b...s-unveiled-at/ I must say, as a Beatles fan, it looks pretty sweet. From an accuracy/historical standpoint, the graphics and animation are pretty sweet, they got the whole head-bobbing down as well as the different venues (e.g. Shea stadium, Abbey Road, the Ed Sullivan Show). Apparently Dhani Harrison is quite involved with this project, both getting it produced and making sure it's accurate. The instruments are pretty cool. The Ludwig drum set is sweet, but the design on the Hofner bass is backwards; I believe hard-ware wise all the guitars in past Rock Band/Guitar Hero games were somewhat ambidextrous? Gameplay-wise as a video game fan, I felt Rock Band was kind of depressing if not playing it with a big group of friends at a party, and never really wanted to buy it. However, after watching the video, I think it would be pretty fun to play Paul's bassline in Octopus' Garden. Anyways, as a Beatles fan, it looks to be a pretty sweet game. Comes out the same day the re-mastered issues of all the Beatles' albums is released. 9/9/09 will be an expensive day for hardcore Beatles' fans.

Three-part vocal harmony. Cool.

My favorite band and I also play guitar and bass. Might have to check out this whole "Rock Band" thing. I kinda wish it would be more like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bT04VygIC1I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=75t-giu3rbM
