If I had to guess,
Junction - correct. Nice place. Stable Market and it's shisha/Cuban place - correct. Other two - no idea.

quite possibly, ya. Pretty non descript place other than the music, but the location sounds about right.

Canary Wharf ------------- SUCKS!!!!

Bars are full of high maintenance PAs, analysts, and back office bitches. Getting your sharing platter served on a stone slab does not make you classy, hip, or stylish.

Bitches wanting to meet "bankers"
Dudes fronting as "bankers"
"Bankers" on the cheap
ALL CRAP

/rant

I'll stick to N/NW and Central London.

Junction is solid. Nothing particularly special, but friendly with cold beer and a pretty decent steak.

Next time you are in Camden ask your friend to take you to the Good Mixer, Crown & Goose, and Enterprise.

we were heading in the general direction of Enterprise when we ended up in whatever that last bar was. Sick of walking wanted drinking, ended up staying there til hometime was declared. Mostly just liked Junction cos the outdoor beer garden was really nice, and it wasn't too cold last Saturday night (esp compared to the Saturday the week before when we were at Fabric...it was evil evil cold that night)

did you just move to London too? I got stuck in Canary Wharf on a friday night once (flight to JFK got cancelled due to snow storm), took a trip to the bar, and the result is... disappointing (too many dudes, and whatever girls there are just plainly ugly), though it was late hours, heard the crowd was slightly better during the earlier hours.

I am in London Bridge/Borough right now, any suggestion on south east london (just meet new people wise, don't have any friend in London yet)?

I got hammered at Vinopolis in Borough, but that's the kind of place you only go once.

The wife is out of town for the weekend! Bachelor weekend, right?!?!?!?!?!?!? WOO HOOOOOOOOO At an outdoor happy hour with some friends, my 13-month-old daughter crapped her pants and wouldn't let me change her in the sketchy men's room at the bar (I can't say I blame her). So we came home, I fed her dinner, put her to bed, and then made myself wonton and noodle soup, ate it on the couch with the dogs, and was in bed at 11. That's how I roll, bitches.

Friday was my first night back in town for a few weeks, met my friends at a restaurant called Le Jardine, then moved on to a party at a bar called Loft. Place has just opened, and so they were doing an open bar from 9-11 to get people in. Mission accomplished - although maybe the wrong crowd - English teachers tend to be drawn to free alcohol like a moth to a flame - and they were out in force. They never come back to places like Loft afterwards, prefering to bitch about overpriced alcohol while they haggle over the price of local beer in the backpacker district the next week. Anyhow, wandered into a club called Hifi which is part of the Loft complex, then went over to Martini to help my friend out with the girl he has been working on. Needed someone to separate her from her friend, so I played that role for him, and headed home from there. Lunch with the boys, then went and saw Robin Hood. Home for a while, some family issues back home kind of messing with me, did as much as I could with that, before heading out to a party. 80s theme (so I felt instantly ill on general principle) and I just really wasn't in the mood for bopping wigged idiots listening to Cindy Lauper. Slipped out, over to Martini for a quiet drink with friends, and was home by 11.30. Client lunch today, maybe some time on the driving range, and probably dinner with a couple of girls that I am friendly with, but haven't seen in ages. That'll see my weekend out.

Friday was a blur of beer and booze that ended with a blond girl passed out in my bed. I followed it today with a hang over early and more drinking and a going away party in the evening. More details tomorrow as I gotta work at 9am and need my sleep.
