I got the jist that he didn't get lucky. I'm just wondering how it fell apart. I mean he's in enemy territory. All he's got to do is capture the flag.

You're right...the best explanation we have been able to come up with is that he doesn't like flags.

Had a nice night out with another couple. Met up for some cocktails and jazz on the lounge side of a local upscale steak house. A few hours there then a late dinner on the patio at a great place that overlooks the city from the foothills. Great food, great view of the city lights. We went our separate ways at about midnight, we popped a bottle of light Italian rose bubbly and sipped it in the spa outside.

Sometimes, life is good.

Then Monday comes and you have to work to pay for Friday night.

Went to a Washington Life happy hour at Lotus Lounge. The bar was open, so ended up drinking four Maker's Mark Manhattans (my cocktail of choice). Met an interesting guy opening up a wine bar in Penn Quarter next year and his attractive female business partner, who is training to be a sommelier. Felt the after-effects of the alcohol this morning.

Me and friends (21-23) used to love going to the black cat and wondered why it was so easy to get girls tehre. Then we finally learned (after 5 or 6 trips) its caters to the under 21 crowd.

WE still go occasionally b/c of the beer selection and juke box but its not the same anymore

had 3 exams this week...last 2 of which were yesterday, so went to Froggy Bottom Pub last night and downed a few pints with some friends...got reasonably not-sober, came home, read Live and Let Die for a bit (book's racist as hell, man).

Party at our place tonight for my roomate's bday...should be wild. Halloween party tomorrow...just decided I'm going to be Ronaldinho:

Last night I went to a sorority date party. The theme was "Halloween" so I wore my best on-the-way-to-the-country-club-retired-pirate outfit. The party itself was a blast...these are my gurlz, so we had fun.

Of course, they had to go and get a bottle of bourbon, which I attacked with great ferocity. To make matters worse (better?), a bunch of pledges from a diff. sorority came to this house and delivered a small-ish bottle of Jim Beam. I split it with a buddy, and that's where the whole memory thing stops working out.

I woke up at about 9 this morning at the sorority house. I was in a girl's bed, with only my underwear on...I got excited for a moment, and then remembered that she's in Massachusetts.
