Military Inspired Shirt

I've been looking for this sort of military inspired shirt to wear casually. These shirts usually have 2 breast pockets and the coolest thing - tabs to keep the sleeves rolled up.

I've seen them on GQ online in the Trend Reports - Desert Heat section. I was wonder if anyone else knows where else to get these.

Don't laugh but I have two Armani Exchange shirts (one black, one white) that are almost identical to that. I think they were discontinued a few years ago though...

I think I've seen stuff like that in Club Monaco and perhaps in other high-street stores in Canada (maybe with epaulettes too). Where does the little tab go when you roll the sleeve down?

Army doesn't make a thing that looks like that I've ever seen. But then I've only seen what they've issued me and I may be wrong. The only shirt I have like that is a, please don't laugh, Land Rover shirt. Its an African expedition style shirt, al la the real Abercrombie and Fitch style from the adventure wear era.

This is a little low-end for this section of the boards, I suppose, and this thread might belong in Streetwear, but I know that both H&M and Zara are selling linen (or linen-blend) long-sleeve shirts with those tabs.

Any slightly less disposable brands?

It is inside your sleeve.

Perry Ellis (boy, is this thread trawling) made a bunch of shirts like that that ended up in Marshalls a year ago or so. They were cool except that they were schizophrenic: like a regular button-up dress shirt, except that the placket stopped at solar plexus level, below which they were "not open". Anorak-style, I guess.

Yes, this post probably should have been in the street wear. My mistake. It's casual anyway. I know this shirt is nothing new, it's been around forever, but it's been worn a bit more lately. So the places I should look are....H&M, Club Monaco...etc?

Probably should be called an Expedition Shirt. The US Army never issued a shirt like that. But in the tropics during WW2 it was not unheard of to have locals make something up for you if you needed a replacement to wear. It is conceivable that a style like that could have been made during that time.
