Bergdorf has two pairs of Kiton shoes discounted to 1k. Pretty nice basics with the shoe trees included. BG appears to be shying away from Lattanzi and moving towards Kiton and Vass. I have no idea what will happen after the Adam Derrick handover is completed.

Vacca is now 30% off. Some very cool StefanoBi on sale. Prices are a not cool $1250-1500 retail.

Great find of the day... DUNHEEL 30-50% off most items. The 50% off on shoes also includes the LAST PAIR of reindeer split toe derbies for $750!!! (size 12) I would have been tempted if they fit due to their historical significance. Women's watches,3 models, including a nice stainless steel facet were 75% off. I bought my mom the facet piece and had it shipped to Cali for $450 flat. Its a quartz, but for a $450 beater, its quite pretty.

Sounds like a nice watch, Matt -- I love the look of the Dunhill facet watches. Hope your mom is happy with it.

Dunhill had some lovely cashmere scarfs on sale, but at only 30% off, so not such a great deal.

Yeah... the shoe guys at BG can be a trip, especially at sale time, when everyone and their dog is asking them, "do you have this sale shoe in size xxx". After a while, I guess it wears them down. If they see you at times during the year other than sale time, they are a little bit more accomodating.

Bloomingdales is having 30-40% off sale between now and January 7 online and in stores.
Online code is SNOW30 for 30% off.

I stoped by Ralph Lauren store today : shoes are not on sale. Bought some socks, ties and a pare of gloves. Sales stuff barely paid any attention to what I am doing . I had to invite shop assistant back into the store to ring my purchases up. Talking about nonexistant service...
Shop assistants on a first floor don't know what is on sale on the second and third.
Who trains these people?

The Union Square Filene's Basement has Luciano Barbera dress shirts for $90. I picked one up yesterday and I love the fit. They also have some nice LB sweaters for $150 though I expect those to get marked down pretty quickly given how warm it is in NYC.

Be careful with those LB shirts. They had about two hundred at Loehmann's a couple of months ago, but they were more on the "Club" level - cheap plastic buttons and mediocre fabrics. Not sure if these are the same. Will have to check it out at lunch...

Anyone know when BG's first and second floor have further reductions?

They didn't say club on them. I saw those Loehmann's shirts but I thought they were too cheap, too good to be true. As for the one I bought, it fits so well I really don't care what line it is.

What is the fit like?

The fit is slim, for me anyway. I'm 5'10", 195 pounds, and wear a size 16. The majority of size 16 shirts are absolutely huge on me and the LB is slim in comparison and is very comfortable.

Agreed. I snapped up two of those shirts as well as a Barbera wool/polyamide (boiled-wool like feel) sweater for $70 (marked down from $590) and a Vestimenta "Fatte a Mano" for Mario's cotton/cashmere chocolate corduroy suit for $230... not too bad.

The Ralph Lauren store in Soho has a whole bunch of winter wear and accessories at 50%+ off, some stuff is 70% off. Also, the Tommy Hilfiger store on Broome Street has just about everything on sale.

To chime in on the Union Square Filenes, they have a few racks (stuff from Mitchells, Richards and Marios) marked 60% from the already reduced price. I picked up a very nice Arnys(!) jacket for the spring for $110--it was ticketed at $1195. I also nabbed a pair of cotton Incotex trousers for $31 and a crisp Lorenzini white sport shirt for $50. I saw a fair number of Barbera sweaters, one Loro Piana argyle--there's some good hunting to be had.

Few quick updates...

1) The Union Square Filene's Basement is pretty much picked clean.

2) J.M. Weston on Madison and the upper sixties, has quite a few shoes on sale. Cool looking double strap boots for around $600, and the classic demi-chasse in a wide range of sizes discounted to $410. Not a screaming deal, but a difficult model to find on sale.

3) Rhinelander Mansion has most of its stock for 50% off. A few suede RLPL shoes available for $369. Good deal if they stock your size. I went for the Redding boots but nothing was left.

4) Final markdown at Barney's started today. I havent been there yet.

A handful of Isaia suits at C21 for $669. Nice solid grey (not quite charcoal, darker than dove-) in a couple of sizes at that price in the Enrico model, plus a few more-adventurous styles. Zegna DB solid navys at $499, IIRC.
