Manhattan Sales Alert!! - Page 7

Was there a decent size range in the Made in Italy, or mostly size 9?
A few 11s, and one or two 8s, but almost all 9D

I checked out those Ralph Lauren Bentley driving penny loafers at Daffy's on 44th street. They had a range of sizes and colors (brown, black, white). They were 150 down from 400. They were way too pointy for my 11E feet.

How are the fabric bolts usually? Considering making a jobber trip around then, so I may check it out.

Wait until the last day, if you can. I think they're pretty expensive until then. There was a lot at the last sale.

Thanks. Should I expect a long line?
During peak times (weekends, lunch, last day), the line can move slowly, but I haven't seen it be more than 20 minutes or so.

FYI, yesterday the guy at the Metropolitan Pavilion said that the sale starts Sat. He told me that I didn't need an invite and that he would be the one at the door. Also, I should get there early because of the crazy russian ladies. Unfortunately, I have a flight out of Newark at 11AM. *sigh*

Any idea what time it's supposed to start on Saturday?

The Beretta sale is now 80% off.
Not much at the Beretta sale for someone wearing size 16, L, or 42R clothes. As expected, they were big on the country style "field" wear, including shooting jackets, elbow patch sweaters.

There were some grips for select Beretta pistols, a ramrod for packing yer musket, some nice tweed caps in size S, some trigger finger gloves, lots of quilted outerwear vests, some powderhorn style handbags, 4 or 5 dress shirts in size 16 and up. If you have an 18 neck there are 2 or 3 styles you may like. There were still duck motif ties available.

Thanks. Was thinking about heading over at lunch, but now not so sure.
