I am going there tomorrow morning. Tomorrow is the last day, right? Do they have matching duvet cover? How much? I think $100 for a Queen set is a very good deal.
Bellino sales: prices further reduced for many but not all items. The Hotel and Sateen queen sets are still $100 & $200 but the Jacquard sets are reduced to $200 from $300. Very good deals on the Sateen individual items, for example, the Sateen duvet covers (orig. $309) and queen fitted sheet are $50 each, a pair of pillow or sham cases $20. You'd get a better prices if you buy the Sateen individually than as a set. Selections are still very good, especially on the Sateen.
I bought 2 duvet covers, 1 queen fitted sheet and 2 pairs of pillow cases, all of them are Sateen and a Jacquard set.
FYI, Hotels are 300TC, Sateens 400-450TC, Jacquard 500-600TC.
In the spirit of sales, is this the best price I'll ever find Bellino sheets for? I'm not in the market for new sheets, but does it pay to just buy now?
A Jacquard queen set retails about $1200. ABC Carpet & Home, Bergdorf Goodman, Bloomingdale's and Takashimaya carry it in NYC, so you can check the retail prices.
The bath robes are very nice, better than the Frette that I have. My Frette terry cloth robe is thick while the Bellino is thinner and more refined. They have terry cloth and a more textural checkered pattern with sizes M, L & XL to choose from, I think they are unisex.
I may go back this afternoon before they close at 5pm.
Daffy's on 34th street is clearing out a lot of merchandise, particularly trousers. Take 50% off everything already on sale. I picked up three pairs of nice, Italian made cotton pants for around $7 each. Always fun when it costs more to hem the pants than buy them!
Daffy's on Broadway downtown has the Polo "Bentley Driver Loafer" for either $150 or $200, forget which. Quite a few pairs. Seem nice, but WAY overpriced at the original $400.
Not sure what you'd be shopping for, but C21 has some nice ties for $40, Zanella trousers around $120, and a lot of Corneliani sportcoats around $400. A few nice suits, but no shocking bargains. They haven't started the spring/summer mark downs yet.
